Behind the scenes of our latest editorial

The Lucire team got together to shoot our swimwear editorial for summer at the luxurious Sanctum apartments in Wellington. With a close knit team of young creatives the shoot ran like a dream, with enough time to spare for a bit of silliness and a few chuckles. The weather was good to us, giving us warm sunshine amid fast moving clouds and only cooling off towards the end of the shoot. A chance encounter and a casting on the street by one of our team found us Ruby, our extraordinary model. She was photographed beautifully by the talented Doug Rimmington, who sadly is leaving us to shake up the London fashion scene.

Good Morning Big City

I have woken up. I am in Sydney, the sun is shining, the birds aren't tweeting but the streets are definitely bustling. My lovely hotel is situated smack in the middle of town, giving me a great view of people meandering through Hyde Park. This is what is out my window:

Great I have a bathroom
I'm still chuckling with excitement over the BEAUTIFUL clothes that Kilt have lent me, there are so many and they are oh so slinky. Here are a few of them on their hangers:

It's going to be very hard to hand back the black embellished tunic - very covetable.

The invites are arriving and they have really made my day - receiving shiny bits of paper and intricately printed card in the post is bound to make anyone feel special:

I'm off to forage the streets for real coffee - mustn't miss my Sunday ritual of newspaper and caffeine just because I'm somewhere new... I wonder if their Sunday paper has a Shoe of the Week?

You make me cry

Riding the motorbike back home after a man-stressed morning, I saw this work of art on the fenceline. What a poignant image, I'm not much of a sobber but it truly brought tears to my peepers. Whoever did this is a genius - and right at the big traffic lights too. I wonder how many hundreds have been touched by this statement this morning.

This is Borneo

After reading Redmond O'Hanlon's Into the Heart of Borneo, I got excited. So I went there. It was very different from the book, probably because I'm not the author our friend O'Hanlon is; and because I largely stuck to the main routes (apart from getting lost in the countryside on a motorbike and running out of petrol. And money for petrol). Here are some of the snaps.
